June 3rd

Game 2 Saturday started out with a lot more fireworks than game 1 as the teams combined for 12 goals in the first after only just 2 the night before. It was once again started by the Raiders and Kade McCormick (4G, 1A) with his first of 3 in the period as the Raiders came out of the first period up 7-5. The second was a lot tighter with only 3 goals being scored and a goalie change for the Raiders as Brendan Wilhelm came in relief of Joey Janvier. Wilhelm was peppered in the period and answered the bell only allowing one goal in the period and many key saves to keep the Raiders up 8-7 at the end of two. He kept up the strong play in the third and the teams exchanged goals with Raiders outlasting SWAT with 4 goals capped off with an empty net goal by Brett Craig for a 12-10 win for the boys. Levi Anderson (1G, 7A) lead the Raiders offense this night with McCormick (4G, 1A), Brett McIntyre (3G, 2A) and Carter Brand (1G, 4A) with his first goal as a Raider each having 5 point evenings. This game also saw the debut for Caelahn Bullen with the Raiders who had a strong night on D. No doubt on this evening as the AbsorbLMS Player of the Game was Brendan Wilhelm coming in and making many strong saves to get the Raiders their 9th win of the season. While the Bigeye Productions’ Hardest Working Raider on this night was Jacob Motiuk.
