Okotoks Raiders Thank ALL our Sponsors and Volunteers

Without the support of our sponsors and volunteers the Okotoks Raiders could not play Junior A lacrosse. Sponsors’ support takes many forms including financial contributions, provision of services and donations or discounts on products. In return the Raiders provide recognition on jerseys, in programs, on the website, in social media and of course word of mouth.

The support provided to the team can also be individual or personal. Players and their families bear some responsibility for subsidizing the team. Family and friends support a player’s participation by obtaining sponsorships and by volunteering for one of the many positions needed to run our Jr A lacrosse program. Volunteers fill critical roles in team operations and management. Volunteers are active on game days home and away. Some volunteers commit to a shift for an hour, a position for a season or a year round role.

The Raiders have a plan to build a Jr A lacrosse program of excellence. To do that it requires resources, financial and human.

The Raiders are working hard to build the lacrosse culture of Junior A in the greater Calgary area. The Raiders’ are working toward a strategy of “vertical integration” enhancing relationships, learning and competitiveness. The Raiders continue to work with Okotoks Minor lacrosse to develop skills and share systems, extending the integration beyond Junior A and B.

The Raiders believe that learning for players, coaches and administration is enhanced through a diversity of views, experience and knowledge. Learning through diversity requires the addition of newcomers. The Raiders volunteers, coaches and players are supplemented through player trades and transfers. The Raiders organization welcomes coaches and volunteers who are newcomers to southern Alberta or to the sport of  lacrosse.

All of these initiatives require money and support. Thank you to all those who have donated their time and money to help the Raiders to be the best Jr A lacrosse program in Alberta.
