UPDATE

June 4th

Game 3 Sunday was a quick turnaround from the night before with the game being moved back to noon. It was great that the Raiders had a full squad and were able to make some changes to the lineup for some players to rest. Sunday’s game also welcomed back Myles Hamm from school (just one more Raider left to come back in Dylan Kinnear after an appearance in the Final Four and school trip to Ireland). The game started a little slower as both teams looked a little fatigued after two tough games and a quick turnaround. The boys were down 2-1 after 1 with the only goal of the period coming from Harrison Matsuoka in transition. The second saw the boys banging in 5 goals to the SWAT 4 goals to come out of the second tied at 6 just like the first night. It all came down the third to see if the Raiders could keep up the winning streak and the boys answered outscoring the home side 5-3 in the period to make it 10 in a row. It finished with Brett McIntyre (6G, 1A) scoring the Raiders final 3 goals of the game to lead the way to the win. Levi Anderson (1G, 3A), Carter Brand (1G, 3A) and Connor Finlay (2G, 2A) jumping up to play O with a couple guys out of the lineup had strong offensive afternoons. While in goal Joey Janvier came back in to have a strong outing getting his second win of the weekend. The AbsorbLMS Player of the Game with his 6 goal performance was Brett McIntyre while the  Bigeye Productions’ Hardest Working Raider with a strong performance on the back end shutting the strong SWAT attack down Tyler Sceviour.

Coach McBride – ‘We talk about team and everyone contributing and that’s exactly what the weekend was all about. Every single member of the organization helped us secure three big wins against a tough opponent in a very tough place to play’.We want to put a big thank you out to our affiliates that made the trip with the boys for the weekend in Owen Ritchie and Brendyn Kendall…thanks boys for helping the team on a big weekend!!! Also want to say a huge thanks to Kendall Pupp for coming on the bus to help out all weekend, greatly appreciated!!

It was now time to load the bus after a 3 win weekend and head for home. A big shout out to the SWAT concession and providing the Raiders with an awesome meal for the way home of homemade chicken and Caesar salad with a great piece of pie for everyone. Great change from the standard pizza post game! This must have fired the boys up as it was a strong Karaoke night on the bus home lead by a great performance by Matt Fluet, making the trip go by quickly.
