 WEEKEND UPDATE

May 7th, 2017

Game 2 was more of the same as Raider Nation hit the board at 46 second mark again by our Captain Travis Getz and proceeded to start with a strong 5 shots 5 goals in the first 2:39 to propel them to a 24-4 win vs the Blues. Strong performances again by the whole squad lead by Getz and his 4 goal 7 assist afternoon. Contributions from both ends of the floor including goal in transition by Jesse Chong with his first of the season and a stingy defensive lead to this strong performance in just the second game of the season. Other highlights from the offense include Kade McCormick 4 goals and 3 assists in his first game of the season, Dylan Ferrier with 3 goals 3 assists, Levi Anderson 4 goals 5 assists, Eric Dowie 1 goal and 2 assists, Zach Mantei 4 goals and 2 assists and Connor Pupp 3 goals 3 assists as the Raiders spread out the contributions. Owen Ritchie made his presence felt as an AP for this game and made some great hits on the back end while almost scoring his first goal. Thanks for coming out Owen!!!

Coach Fehr “It was great to see our young team come out ready to play in the second game of the weekend after a solid start on Friday. We want to improve and get better every time we come to the rink and I think that we did that as a group today. The next two weeks are a great opportunity for us to continue to learn and work to improve leading up to our next game on May 19” comments on game 2.

@AbsorbLMS Player of the Game – Levi Anderson – “It’s great to get back at it with the boys. I felt we played well and had a strong start to the 2017 season. Continually striving to be better and taking steps in the right direction is what’s going to allow us as a team to have a strong Minto run”
